AEM Performance Cold Air Intake Systems produce horsepower and torque gains by replacing your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. This air intake system was designed, tuned and dyno-tested to fit specific Chevrolet Cruze models. Air enters the system through an oversized AEM Dryflow synthetic washable air filter for outstanding air flow, filtration and performance. The air filter is located in the original air box space and is protected by a heat shield which is designed to reduce intake air temperature and increase horsepower. The air intake tubing is constructed from mandrel-bent aluminum featuring a durable gunmetal gray powder coated finish. This air intake system was developed to accommodate the engine's factory emissions control devices including the mass air sensor. The tapered cylinder shaped AEM Dryflow air filter is made from an oil-free, synthetic filter media that can be used for up to 100,000 miles before cleaning is needed (depending on driving conditions). This air intake system is easy to install with commonly available tools. Some AEM air intakes are not legal for sale or use in California and other states adopting California emission standards, while others are 50 state legal. A good update for a fifty year geologist
Format: Hardcover
I wanted an update on plate tectonics as I was a geologist for 50 years and it was a theory back when I was in school particularly on mountain building I have been impressed so far I am about half way through the book and the book does a fine job of laying a solid foundation of physics and geochemistry that are the basics for the remainder of the book

An excellent introduction to plate tectonics
Format: Kindle
My rating is 4.5 stars. I dinged the book because I wanted more about geobiological evidence for and against plate tectonics, and because it didn't mention other global tectonics, such as single-lid tectonics. Read Robert Stern's article in the May 2025 issue of the GSA bulletin.
